Dr. Weiss attended Ner Israel Rabbinical College and graduated with a degree in Talmudic Law. He simultaneously attended a pre-dental night time program at Towson State University. Upon graduation, he attended the prestigious University of California Los Angeles School of Dentistry where he earned his professional doctorate degree in dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Weiss received several scholarships including the Dean's Scholarship. He was inducted into the OKU dental honor society, which is bestowed only upon the top 10% of the graduating class. Following dental school, he served as a general dentistry resident at St. Barnabas Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center. During his general dentistry residency he was exposed to all different facets of dentistry. He could be found performing dental cleanings to suturing facial lacerations in the emergency room.
Dr. Weiss's true passion was always in orthodontics and creating confident smiles for patients of all ages. He was accepted to the well sought out specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, which only has two spots per year. During his last year of training, Dr. Weiss served as chief resident. Dr. Weiss then completed the rigorous coursework necessary to earn his board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics, an achievement that many orthodontists do not achieve.
